Gamecloud (http://www.gamecloud.com/) has posted screenshots (http://www.gamecloud.com/article.php?article_id=3763) of Stranglehold for your viewing pleasure. The game is being created by movie director John Woo and uses Epic's Unreal Engine 3.
This looks like it could be pretty fun. All the Woo moves with Yun-Fat Chow acting as the main character.

I misread the thread's title as "Max Payne 3 screenshots".

Why is the gunflare stuck on the gun models? I think they should adress that in a patch.

A patch? You do realize this game has 8 months until it is released, right?
Anyways, I think this looks good, especially the apparent level of environmental destruction.

Graphics look quite average for an unreal engine 3 / next gen game

Looks good, I enjoyed the first Max Payne, so this appeals to me at least. I hope there isn't overuse of bullet time.

Agreed, I'm hoping it's due to the fact that you can blow shit up left and right and is therefore a trade off.

Just because it uses the Unreal 3 engine does not automatically mean it will look amazing. It is the artists that use the engine effectively to make a game look great.

I'm rootin' for this title. I'm hoping it'll be of high quality. I hope it does the original movie title justice.
Max Payne was a blood opera dressed in noir clothing. It was heavily influenced by Woo's films.
This looks like it's going to be insanely fun. I loved ducking and rolling and slowing shit down in MP.

Watch the video on ign. There is a level of environmental interaction that beats anything I've seen before.

If you can easily/consistently pull off the things I saw in the trailer this could be pretty sweet. Horrid controls could ruin it though, hopefully it turns out good.

Couple reasons to be excited for this:
a) Video looked promising
b) It's a spiritual sequel to Hard Boiled with CYF returning as Tequila
c) John Woo is involved
I can't say John Woo knows anything about game design, but he's very clever at setting up action sequences and knows what looks cool. Here's hoping they pull this off. Hell, if this game does well, we might see a true movie sequel to Hard Boiled (I wish).

One of the best ever as far as action is concerned. Keep in mind that it will come across as a bit dated today, but its influence on everything that came after it is undeniable.

Damn internet and sarcasm.
I was commenting on that in all the screenshots there is a gun firing and you can see the fire from the shot.

It's from the Psi-Ops developers. Psi-Ops had a lot of problems, but the controls and environment interaction wasn't one of them.
