Good Morning! (And if I don't see you: Good Afternoon, Good evening and Goodnight!)

The server got hung up after a soft reboot last night, so we were down for a couple of hours between 2:00 AM and 5:45 AM (local time). Things seem to be running swingingly again now.

Hopefully, we won't see a repeat of the server issues that took us a week to resolve last year. Man, that was a rough week for me. I don't take downtime well.

I'm still a little under the weather. I haven't been able to shake the cold that has been plaguing me for the past two weeks. I'm headed to the doctor in a few hours to see what he can do (cough syrup? brain transplant?). I don't want to call off sick again, but given how little sleep I'll get before time to go to work I may not have a choice.

I hope everyone else is Ok! Ghost Recon in five days, WhoHoo!

I got off work at midnight last night, managed 6 hours of sleep and now I'm back to work for a team meeting. Good times.

That explains why I had such a horrible night's sleep. My fitba sense must have picked up on the down time.

I second the hope there's not another week of sporadic downtimes. Not being able to read EA during the day makes work go by a lot slower.

Oh, and Evil, try not to breath in this direction. I don't have time to be sick! O.o

I've actually been sick too, Evil... Starting from around 3am on Wensday I had a fever. Then last night I couldn't keep food/drink down. But the fever seems to be breaking, so hopefully I'll feel better by this evening.

I hope you are as lucky!

The server likely didn't want to reboot knowing that damned project corrosion ad was still at the top of the page.

Does that thing creep anyone else out? I'd rather have the half-nekkid hentai girls back. :D

I loathe that ad.

Hope you get to feeling better Evil. I too have been sick as of late. In this area we are blaming it on the wonky weather. It will be 40 degrees F one day, and 80 the next. It is going to kill us all.

I loathe that ad.

It isn't really an ad, it is for my friend Shane's Blog. His writing is some of the most demented and sick stuff I've ever read. In any sane country, they would have put someone like him to death a long time ago to save the rest of us.

Naturally, I try to promote him whenever I can. ;)

For some reason my cats seem to find it very appealing. I have little kitty nose marks all over the top of my screen and that ad is the only thing that's regulary there. :confused:

Hope you feel better. Been wrestling a cold for 2 weeks... as well as server downtime at work too.

I think server downtime is worse.

I have to admit though, I am intruiged after checking out the blog. If its really that twisted, should be a fun ride.

I just got home from the Doctor. Turns out I do have an ear infection, so I'm not just playing sick.

On the server side, they claim that the power supply was bad. Which is really weird since the server was going along just fine until I did the reboot, but I'm happy we are back online.

Those pesky reboots always fry the power supply.

Sucks about the ear infection, at least in 24 hours with meds you should be feeling much better.
