Add one more game to the early 2010 rush... The next iteration of the popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series will be coming to North American on February 2nd, 2010.

VIVA MEDIA ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN DEAL FOR S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

New York, NY December 15, 2009—Viva Media and bitcomposer games announced today that they signed a North American publishing deal for S.T.A.L.K.E.R CALL OF PRIPYAT. Beckoning players to enter the Zone, Viva Media’s latest release clearly marks the publisher’s stake in yet another category of PC gaming.

Viva Media CEO Carlo Voelker commented, “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat is the third in the highly successful Shooter/RPG franchise developed by GSC Game World. The game opens up a dark world where players can immerse themselves into a gripping storyline full of action and suspense.”

bitComposer CEO Wolfgang Duhr stated, ““We look forward to working with Viva Media and anticipate a very successful release in the US for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat.” The game is slated to launch in North America on February 2, 2010.

Anyone else find it weird that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. can't keep with the same publisher? Even though it apparently has sold rather well? (Albeit a buggy mess, followed by a buggier mess)

I kinda thought this game was almost sorta fun in a weird way. Except when it broke and/or was too difficult to finish.

I’m starting to like the fact that all of these games are coming out early next year, hopefully this means the after holidays slow down won’t be as bad this year…I hope.

I loved the first STALKER, but avoided the second one because of reviews saying it was even buggier than the first one. So I was just wondering if they ever patched up the second STALKER game or is it still buggy?

I played through it when it launched, buggy as hell. I've played through it again recently and it was far better. I modded the game heavily though; mostly performance mods or graphical mods.
