IndustryGamers (http://www.industrygamers.com/news/electronic-arts-stands-by-tiger-woods/) noticed in Reuters today that the relationship between Electronic Arts and Tiger Woods remains unchanged after his bad family values being outed.
"Our strong relationship with Tiger for more than a decade remains unchanged,” said EA in a statement to Reuters. “We respect Tiger's privacy, we wish him a fast recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on the golf course.”
For the record, I really don't care about the personal lives of any athlete and you shouldn't either.

I could care less about his family values, I find his drug abuse a little more disturbing and I think EA should drop him.

If he was getting dropped, fine, that'd be gaming news. But no change is, by definition, not news.

I don't understand what Family values has to do with a gifted Athlete who is bound and determined to throw his life down the shitter. And why in the fuck do some people use the term Family values with the same patronizing tone as they use when they say things like Fox news and moral majority?

If he starts sucking at golf, it should affect his career.
If he starts sucking at home, well, I have a feeling that has its own repercussions.

I mini game where you have to chase tiger down the driveway and bash out as many windows with a 9 iron before he crashes would be fun tho.

EA will continue to support Tiger unless sales of his game plummet.
If the sales plummet, they won't hesitate to get rid of him.
It's all about sales numbers.

I don't care about the details of his personal life. But what details have come out affect my opinion of him the same way it would of anyone of whom I learned similar information:
1. If he cheated on his wife, he's a louse and a douchebag. If you're unhappy in your marriage, then either get help or get a divorce. But cheating is not acceptable.
2. A man who cheats on his wife and family is weak and selfish. But a man who cheats on a wife as incredibly gorgeous as Elin is weak, selfish, and a raging moron.
But no--Tiger is no more or less bad than any other schmoe that ever cheated on their spouse. Maybe a little stupider, since he has so much to lose and obviously put himself in a position to be blackmailed. But no worse morally, imo.
The drugs, on the other hand, I hadn't heard anything about. If he was indeed idiot enough to go that route, then I hope Elin dumps him and takes him for everything he's worth (or at least the $300 mil to which the pre-nup entitles her).
Ok--that's all I got.

I disagree, sales are not the only thing involved here. Public image is a big factor(which in turn affect sales) and had Tiger went the wrong route and publicly stated everything and basically decided not to keep it private, we'd possibly end up with EA's PGA Golf 2011 next year, as his image could've taken a much larger hit. Instead, he took the smart road and kept to himself.

I couldn't care less about his drug use (whatever you want to put in your body is perfectly fine with me, as it's your choice and your body), but I'm disgusted with his lack of honor and 'family values.' He's free to play around all he likes; after all, he's an adult, and so are the ladies he's spending time with. He's also free to publicly commit to a monogamous relationship with another woman. However, he's not free, in my view, to be a freaking hypocrite and try to have BOTH without catching flack over that.
Be a man. Honor your commitment to your wife, or admit your desire for freedom, your inability to honor your commitment, and divorce her so you can play the field. Or, marry someone who will play the field willingly with you, or allow it, which your present wife doesn't seem to be thrilled with (as evidenced by your fleeing your home in the middle of the night).
As for EA, they can stand wherever they like. They can get in line with his women, to give him a 'job' for all I care. The guy who has everything apparently wanted to live a lie.
Fraud.

Well 29-year-old A-Rod made out with 50-year-old big muscled Madonna!
She looks like she is seriously over exercising! She has more muscles than A-Rod! I've even heard she can weight lift 250 lbs with EVERY part of her body!

Drug use?!?! Performance-enhancing or recreational?

A man is as faithful as his options.
Correction--a man of no principle is as faithful as his options. There are plenty of men out there who have been tempted and presented with the opportunity (myself included) and that have chosen to turn it down not only because of the potential consequences to ourselves and those we love, but also because it was simply the wrong thing to do.

I'm not surprised in all of this. Ever since Tiger stormed onto the scene he's been a jerk. You see it in his face and actions every time something doesn't go his way on the course. As immature as he acts in front of millions of fans, I can't imagine how he acts in private. Well maybe I can.
Maybe I just don't like him and his golf game. Man I miss Links.

Of course they'll stand by him. As long as they can make a Tiger Woods Golf 2011, 2012, 2013..., I doubt they care much about his personal life.

The lyrics are hilariously appropriate (or sadly, depending on your perspective), except that it's yet to be seen if she "stands by [her] man" or "takes the money and runs."
"You'll have bad times,
And he'll have good times,
Doing things that you don't understand.
But if you love him you'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand"
:D

Man, that is some serious helmet hair she's got goin' on there. The dress is just awful. And she looks like she's a couple sandwiches short of a picnic >_> I can see why women don't like the sentiment nowadays, but there is a certain truth to it that's undeniable. Not that women should be doormats, I'm sure Tammy didn't mean that either. But at least side with each other.
She needs to work of her performance, just dreadful. Not a smile even once throughout. Well, I'm sure she's old and wrinkly or dead by now, so she can be forgiven. Stil, that performance manages to be preferable to a Madonna raunch fest or Adam Lambert or Britney.

CRAP! And here I was hoping EA would drop him and we'd finally get a DECENT realistic golf franchine, like Links used to be! Links 2004 still wipes the floor with any Tiger game.
Oh well, until then, there's always my less serious golf from Hot Shots on my PS3 and Pangya on my PSP and PC. At least Asia knows how to make a good, fun golf game.

I think what he's trying to say is that it really is none of our business and IMO stuff like that should not always have to be publicized just because the person is famous. I will always respect the sport side of Tiger regardless of what he's done personally because he's a damn talented golfer. Mind you, I am in no way saying anything Tiger has done here is excusable.

True, but he had kids. I don't condone cheating on his wife at all. But nothing. I don't. He should live a sexless existence until his youngest child is 18 if he screwed up so bad with his wife that she's physically attacking him. Who knows what the truth is though. Could be Tiger, could be the wife, could be lots of things.

So Tiger cheated on his wife, his mistresses cheated with married man. They all suck.
Sounds like Tiger got knocked the fuck out by his wife and crashed his car. In Hollywood, this is news. In the bad parts of Baltimore (which is most of it), this is "neighborhood theater." ;)
In my time in the armpit of maryland, I saw men get smacked around by the women they cheated on all the time. It's especially funny when it's rednecks at the local fair. God damn, people are interesting and entertaining.

The wife's not standing by him; she moved out. (http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/12/world-exclusive-tiger-woods-wife-moves-out)
The public is peeling away; his 'favorable rating' went from 84% to 60% in just days. (http://wcbstv.com/sports/tiger.woods.elin.2.1355492.html)
Tiger had been drinking alcohol earlier in the day and he'd taken the prescription drugs Ambien and Vicodin.
I wonder where EA will be standing in a few more weeks/months? I guess it depends upon how many dozens of friendlies step forward to admit golfing with his 'balls.' Penalty for fudging on this scorecard? Could be hundreds of millions...
