Why isn't this available through the auto-patcher?

This is probably going to be the worst game released this year. From playing the demo, it's even worse than the first BFME (quite a feat) and it's basically a slap in the face to RTS fans and strategy fans. Oh, it's EA, what else should I expect?

I really enjoyed the first one. Good multiplayer.

I've been playing this over LAN with a friend nearly every second night and I'm pretty sure I won't be installing this patch. Does anyone here agree with these changes?

Alot of people agree with these changes, it addresses practically all of the overpowered and underpowered issues.

This game they're referring to is the original not the sequel.

Anyways, I played the sequel. Had a ton of fun until it crashed on me. The bread and butter will be the global domination map (a la Total War series) and the customized heroes. Neither of which you saw in the demo.

If customized heroes is the "bread and butter" of the game (i.e. the main part) that's pretty sad. If I wanted to make customized heroes I'd play ToEE instead.

The game is an RTS, correct? The majority of the game will be RTS battles, yes? The RTS battles suck, thus the game will then suck. Are you following me here?

But is it possible that something is worse than the first BFME? Because you can't suck anymore than that.

I havent played the demo yet, but I belieave that the "bread and butter" will be the heroes include Sauron and Tom fucking Bombadil.

I disagree about the first BFME. I really enjoyed it. The different races were interesting and the single player campaign had some great moment. Defending Minas Tirith was one of the coolest RTS experiences that I've had.

But having played the demo for BFME2 I'm very concerned. The first game had good path finding and decent AI. The way the the Rhohan riders would trample troops was fantastic. But in the demo the units are unresponsive. They don't move when told to move and they seem to have all types of control issues. The AI also seems a little dumb. It just sends units in the same direction making it simple to create death traps for the AI units with the walls and towers. It'd be nice if these things get addressed but I don't have much hope that they will. To bad, because I really did like the first game.

I'm a huge lotr fan. I liked that the game was set up in the lotr world and the way the incorporated movie scenes into the world map.

But that being said you can't just over look all of the major flaws in the game.

If blizzard or the guys who made total war games produced this, it would probably be the best rts ever.
