Worthplaying (http://www.worthplaying.com/) has posted their preview of Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=32185&mode=thread&order=0) for your viewing pleasure. The preview includes various new screenshots as well.

Here's a bit from the article...

Although this is an early build, with little music and few voice clips, the graphics and particle physics on display are quite amazing. Smoke billows realistically as you fly through it, and the details you can see on the ground actually shrink and disappear properly as you soar higher and higher. The areas are a little small in this build, but there's no guarantee that'll stay the same in the final build. We're definitely looking forward to seeing the finished game when it hits in late March.
I am really looking forward to this game!

This game does look awesome. The kind of game I can show my WW2-loving, game-hating grandpa and maybe have him be interested. But I have to say I am sick of these pre-game hypesters who are mysteriously optimistic about every game they see.

"The areas are a little small in this build, but there's no guarantee that'll stay the same in the final build."

Yeah, there's no guarantee that the final game will also be cramped, but it is a damn good sign that it will be! Don't you get tired of game "journalists" looking at early game versions and saying "the framerate is choppy but we are sure they will get that worked out for the release." and then the final game is just as choppy?

Then this "journalist" goes on to tout that the game has perspective!

"the details you can see on the ground actually shrink and disappear properly as you soar higher and higher."

Wow! Oh my goodness! As you fly up, the things on the ground get smaller! Holy Schnikies! That is called perspective, jackass. If a game didn't have it it would be a pretty sad game.

These people aren't journalists. They are marketing weasels. We should call them such.

(I still like the game though)

It looks great and I'm sure it's fun for a while, but I can't see myself buying the game, since I think it looks just too repetative.
