TeamXbox (http://www.teamxbox.com/) has posted thier hands-on preview (http://previews.teamxbox.com/xbox/1280/Tom-Clancys-Ghost-Recon-Advanced-Warfighter/p1/) of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox. The preview also touches on the differences besides the improved graphics between the Xbox and the 360 versions of the title.

Here's a bit from the preview...

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is best described as a cross between Ghost Recon 2 and the original Ghost Recon, with a larger emphasis on cutting-edge weaponry and technology. The first-person look with showing weapon automatically makes this one more like a Rainbow title, but there’s still that sense of realism and expansiveness that Ding and his crew never experienced.
I think I'll still stick with the 360 version. Thoughts?

Ding Chavez is the man. He should be in the next Splinter Cell game called: Splinter Cell: Fuck Everything Up.

You bet. Clancy needs to either write more novels with him or about him.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox features a first-person view with modeled weapon, whereas the Xbox 360 version sticks with the original sans-gat and an O.T.S. third-person look.

That damn kids these days think that Ghost Recon was always over-the-shoulder is just disgusting. Consoles were the worst thing ever to happen to tactical FPS. I want to punch them for saying that because its first person with a visible weapon its like Rainbow Six. Only the last two R6 games had the weapons visible, and the last one sucked ass...

so much aggression. Anyway, now for a small reading comprehension lesson for the overly agressive person.

"whereas the Xbox 360 version sticks with the original sans-gat and an O.T.S. third-person look." See what we have here is actually two parts of a sentence connected by the word 'and'. So see there is two parts to that list. one part is "the original sans-gat (no guns first person)". The second part is "an O.T.S thid person". See how it doesn't say the word "original" in front of the second part? That is because it isn't, and they weren't saying it is.

That damn kids these days without that like to get puffed up about nothing.

Actually now that I've read it a third time it depends on how you read the "and." If it means sans gat and sans OTS then it's one thing. When I read it I read it as sans gat with an OTS. If he had said "sans-gat and OTS" without the "an" it wouldnt be ambiguous.

You know what, I was too busy drooling to see that this is a 3rd person shooter. I am still getting it, but I am not a fan of 3rd person views. Did they announce a reason for this or were the last 2 ghost games 3rd person also? I have never bought a r6 or ghost game for a console before, so I do not know their history.
