Aces Web (http://www.acecombat.jp/ace-zero/index.htm) has just updated with information on the 2P mode that will be featured in the latest installment of the Ace Combat franchise. The new versus modes will allow players to engage one another over familiar terrain, but in a variety of unique conditions. These include a flag mode, in which players can score bonuses for taking out flags, but leaves them vulnerable to attack. Others include dogfighting with squadrons, and a "Ghosts of Razgriz" scenario in which players are forced to battle one another while maintaining low altitudes.

In addition, there is a look at the Japanese box art. The game will be released on March 23rd in Japan. And while no exact date has been mentioned for the US release, we can expect it sometime in Spring of this year. The soundtrack has also been estimated to release at the end of April in Japan.

From what has been released, this is shaping up to the best Ace Combat yet. We'll see if it manages to surpass AC04: Shattered Skies.

I also cannot wait - I actually own the AC5 Controller Bundle. Ace Combat 5 kicked ass.

I figured I should actually just post again in case my point was missed.

Will you marry me Ace Combat?

I really miss Wing Commander.... But Ace Combat is fun. I'm eagerly awaiting for AC0

I'm a big fan of the AC series. I know it's a lot to ask, but man I wish they would put in an online mp mode too. Someday...

Namco will take Ace Combat 6 online. It's inevitable. It's also the only game I'll play if it happens.

The possibilities are huge. Form and name your own squadrons with your friends, and get ranked against the squadrons from the rest of the world.

One cool feature I've always talked about is if they incorporated a radio chatter voice mask, so when you communicated in the game, it would sound like it was coming through an actual radio channel.
